My Journal Journey over the years has had many twists and turns, has changed direction and at times even slowed down to almost a complete halt! Yet every time I take a moment to slow down my mind long enough to connect with my heart, to experience my truth and to express and commit my inner most thoughts and feelings to the pages of my current leather bound beauty, I have an overpowering feeling of love for the life experiences and stories created on its pages.
The wonderful thing about a journal is that it holds no grudges if you don't talk to it for a few days, weeks or even years. It is the only thing in my life that can withstand being the shoulder to cry on, the ears that my thoughts fall on, being yelled at, cried on, forcefully poke and scrawled on and yet turns up each and every time - opening up to me and allowing an exchange of thoughts, feelings and answers to questions not even asked yet to flow between its pages.
As I leaf through the pages of past journals I become aware of certain thoughts and feelings being revisited, and I am reminded that some things are just between you, your pen and your paper, never to be revisited or resurrected again.
There is no benefit in that....I no longer need to understand or identify with the past to have peace today or to create tomorrow. All I need is to slow down long enough to allow the answers from The Universe to appear when I am quiet enough to hear my 'Inner Voice'.
Do you have a 'Journal Journey' that you would like to share? I would love to hear it. Stay connected for future blogs about Journal writing and other great topics of discussion.
Keep doing what makes your heart sing....
Have a fantastic day
